Standards for State Websites
Standards are used to establish procedures and properties relevant to processes and requirements. At the request of the State CIO, the Information Organization, Usability, Currency, and Accessibility (IOUCA) Working Group has developed recommendations for the State's approach to website accessibility, website usability, and separating content from presentation. These recommendations were adopted and should be used in the planning of new and redesigned State websites.

- Current State Template Design/Layout - The current web design standards require all sites utilize the standard template and CSS to create sites that meet the intended visual presentation of CA web pages.
- Site Policies and Notices - State of California websites should contain certain site policies and notices.
