Site Search Service

(Note: as of August 2007, the Tier numbering has been replaced with service level names: Basic, Branded and Administrator.)
(Another Note: as of September 2007, all 3 levels of DTS Site Search service are offered at no cost to State of California departments).
The Department of Technology Services (DTS), in cooperation with the California eServices Office, is offering all State of California departments web site search service utilizing the DTS Google Search Appliance (GSA) architecture. Site Search Service is offered for no cost at 3 levels -- Basic, Branded and Administrator. The "Basic" service is free; the "Branded" service is free. The "Administrator" service is free.   1. "Basic": no cost; customer web programming required or use the DTS-developed ASP script.
  2. "Branded": no cost; DTS creates and hosts one search page and collection.
  3. "Administrator": no cost; includes "Branded" setup, a "Manager" account on the GSA and multiple collections and front ends.

To initiate service delivery for at any level, follow these steps:

Open a Service (Help) Ticket

  1. Call the DTS Service Desk at (916) 464-4311 or email dtshelp(at)dts.ca.gov.
  2. Request “DTS Google Site Search Service”.
  3. Assign the ticket to “Internet Services”.
  4. Indicate which level of service you want: Basic, Branded or Administrator.
  5. Convey your contact information.
